CRE Train Heading Toward Spring

On February 6, at the Jinan Assembly Center for the CRE Train (Qilu), the loud, long whistle and bright lights of the train cut through the -7°C night sky. A CRE train, carrying automotive parts, elevator flooring, laser equipment and other products, was set to complete loading that evening before departing for Almaty Region in Kazakhstan. This marks the 17th CRE train from Shandong in February.
The "steel camel caravan" travels across the increasingly busy "New Silk Road," injecting new vitality into Jinan's higher-standard opening-up. Currently, the Jinan CRE train network covers 50 cities in 23 countries, and reaches Central Asia's five countries, as well as Russia, Belarus, Poland, Germany, Hungary, Serbia and others. In 2024, Jinan operated a total of 1,029 CRE trains, ranking among the top in China.
