During this year's Spring Festival, many people chose to travel to Hong Kong for the holiday, and the number of outbound passengers through railway channels continued to rise. Among these, the sleeper trains between Beijing-Hong Kong High Speed Railway and Shanghai-Hong Kong High Speed Railway have been particularly popular, with daily cross-boundary passenger traffic increasing by over 35% compared to normal times since the start of the Spring Festival travel rush. According to data, since the launch in June 2024, more than 500 trains have been operated on the Beijing-Hong Kong High Speed Railway and Shanghai-Hong Kong High Speed Railway, with the total number of cross-boundary passengers exceeding 150,000.
